Nutrition education is a vital part of health education and can provide staff and communities with the knowledge and skills, to make healthier food and beverage choices. Nutrition education plays an important role in establishment of healthy eating behaviours, by providing consistent and accurate messages about good nutrition.
When it comes to workplaces, nourished employees are more productive, more satisfied in their jobs, take less sick or mental health days, and have lower risks of developing health related issues. When employees feel their best, they are more likely to do their best work, take on new challenges and support others to make health promoting choices.
Whether you are a business owner, manager, employee or looking to start a business I encourage you to make some time to attend this event. A great PD event for university students looking to work in the nutrition and health promotion space or businesses looking to embed nutrition into their staff wellbeing program.
